Google Special Algorithm Rules
Periodically, we write micro-blogs about small elements that are influential in effective search engine optimisation (SEO). These are just short snippets that help increase your visibility within search engines.
#7 Today’s blog is about…Google’s special algorithm.
Queries
It’s good news for newer pages and websites as Google will give them a boost when it comes to certain searches.
User History
If you’re to visit the same page or website, you’re doing them a huge favour as overtime it will increase their search engine optimisation. Therefore, these sites are going to have increased visibility. This is all down to their page being considered more relevant to a users search.
Search Chain
If you were to make two separate searches for two things such as “theme parks” and “reviews” then “theme park reviews” are more than likely going to increase their search engine ranking. This is because the search chain influences search results for searches made at a later date.
Blocking Inappropriate Content
Google now filter their searches so anything that is searched for that containing swear words or adult content is blocked. This is called a safe search. It blocks any videos, images and websites that are explicit.
Local Search
Even for a general search, Google will place local searches above the organic searches.
